MES Mission Statement
The mission of MES is to challenge, nurture, and inspire the whole child and build positive relationships with our community to inspire active and engaged citizenship.

Daily Car Riders:
We have created a Google form to collect information for our Daily Car Rider students. Once you complete this form, the office will be able to issue you the new placard for the school year. Click here for the daily car rider form.
Pre-K Registration for 2024-2025
St. Mary’s County Public Schools (SMCPS) offers full day Pre-Kindergarten 4 to children that reside in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, meet age requirements, and are income eligible (COMAR 13A.06.03.02). Click this link to fill out the registration form.

About Us!
Home of the Mustangs, Mechanicsville Elementary School is located in the northern region of St. Mary’s County Maryland. Our mission is to challenge, nurture, and inspire the whole child and build positive relationships with our community to inspire active and engaged citizenship.
MES is a community school that has strong parent support. Generations of families have passed through our doors and our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is extremely active in supporting our school, staff, and students.
