Built in 1951, and located in the northern part of St. Mary’s County, Mechanicsville Elementary School is home to approximately 285 students in grades K-5. Renovated in 2022, MES is a beautiful new facility with state-of-the-art classrooms and common spaces. At Mechanicsville, we are Mustang Proud! We build a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) for behavior and academics. Our academic structures provide differentiated instruction to support struggling learners while also challenging students. Students and staff Keep it Respectful, Responsible, and Safe. Using these expectations, we build a positive school culture and climate where learning and growing is the focus.
